FC Goa have lodged an official complaint with Indian Super League over a ‘integrity issue’ against defending champions Mumbai City FC

A controversy has struck ISL in build-up to the game between Mumbai City FC and FC Goa.

FC Goa are set to face Mumbai City FC on 28th February at the Mumbai Football Arena. Prior to the game against the Islanders, the Gaurs had a matchday – 1 training on 27th February in Mumbai, FC Goa have alleged that Mumbai City FC sent a photographer to spy on Gaur’s training preparations.

The club have also proceeded to lodge an official complaint with the League.

“Mumbai City FC’s analyst was spotted at our match day – 1 training session in Mumbai. The analyst has recorded footage related to the training,” said an FC Goa Official on terms of anonymity.

The Official continued to add further on the development and confirmed that the Club has already lodged an official complaint with the League authorities, “This is an integrity issue and an official complain has been sent to the league.”

The Gaurs head coach Manolo Marquez was left absolutely furious with the development, he even went on to express his disappointment in the pre-match press conference.

In the pre-match presser when he was asked a question on Borja Herrera’s injury status the coach lambasted the event and said the following:

“Ask the photographer who was recording our training session. The photographer from Mumbai City FC. Check with Mumbai if he is training or not”
